Colchester Windmills

I have recently bought a bungalow built around 1932 in Mile end colchester, in mill Rd, and am interested to find anything about a Windmill that stood on the plot where my bungalow stands, as I have the last remaining part of the windmill in our garden as a workshop, Please where can I find any information and or photographs of this wind mill, I would have enquired through the quest book but this town appeares to have no such thing in the web pages that i can see,

Army Camp

I am trying to find out about the army camp at East Mersea Essex in the 1920's. My grandfather was stationed there at Fenn Farm, at least I think it is Fenn the first 2 letters are difficult to read. Can you help or maybe put me in touch with someone who can? I would be very grateful for any help,

Thank you, Jill Smith

Albert Street

Hi, I've just been on your website,. I was wondering if you have any pics of Albert Street? I'm researching my family tree, and have just found out an address of one of my relations.

Nunns Road

My name is Jack Roberts. I have found the postcards of old Colchester very interesting. I started work as a plumber for George Bloomfield in 1955. His home and workshop was in Nunns Rd. behind Evans ironmongers. We did work all around Colchester, so I remember a lot of old Colchester. There is one old place I can not find any where and that's the old bus park in St. Johns St. I remember the milk bar opposite. If there is a picture of this and old Nunns Rd. I would like to buy them. I emigrated to Australia on retirement, so it would be nice to see those pictures if poss.

Regards Jack Roberts;
