This is my online CV.
THERESA JEPHCOTT
I was born in Shrewsbury on 5th November 1953, moving to Colchester at the age of 11. I attended St Benedicts School. I have three children, Matthew, Lewis and Harry. I am married to Jess and we live in Fordham, near Colchester, Essex, England.
I lead a busy life that involves slotting in many hobbies and interests. Apart from running the home, I work for a Colchester company dealing in machinery spares where I am dealing with enquiries from customers, providing quotations, handling orders and despatching goods all over the world. We moved to Fordham in 2001 and the house needed much work doing. I am busy with decorating, making curtains and various DIY projects. I became a parish councillor for Fordham in 2003, responsible for publishing the local newsletter and acting as the village correspondent, becoming Chairman in 2007.

In May 2000, I started work with the Colchester Archaeological Trust as a volunteer archaeologist, digging at the rear of the old Post Office in Head Street, Colchester. The site revealed plenty of evidence of Roman occupation and proved to be hard work. Also in 2000, I joined a group of Colchester people to create the Colchester Festival, acting as its chairman in 2002 and 2003. Together with my husband, I am a member of various organisations. I keep fit at the Lexden Squash Club and we are members of the Friends of Colchester Museums, the Colchester Archaeological Group, the Friends of Colchester Archaeological Trust. Then there is gardening, home improvements, enjoyment of classical and modern music, literature, art and theatre. I enjoy English longbow field archery and dressing up in medieval costume for various historical re-enactment events. I am also studying the French language at the moment.
